Library
The main library at the University Witten/Herdecke is a reference library where you may read or look up books and journals but not remove them. The SmartCard gives 24-hour access to the library. In addition to the main library there are several other libraries in hospitals affiliated to the university and in the Thyssenhaus (Stockumer Straße).
Cafeteria
The campus cafeteria at Witten/Herdecke University offers hot meals, snacks, salads, sweets, muesli and soft drinks.
Open (lecture periods):
09:00 a.m. – 05:00 p.m.
Open (lecture-free periods):
09:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m.
Hochschulwerk
In 1980 UWH students founded the Hochschulwerk, a private organization managing all important „non-academic“ areas of student life:
- Cafeteria on campus
- Copiers
- Laundry facilities
- Event organization (movies, parties etc.)
- Sports for students
- Accommodation
- Jobs and traveling
