Registration

International students planning to pursue a regular full-time degree course in Witten get information on documents required for registration at the faculty they have chosen. Please contact the admission office at your faculty.

The International Office will provide assistance to international exchange students (e.g. ERASMUS students and students from other partner universities) in registration procedures. The Welcome Package contains all information on documents to bring to Witten for registration. 

In general, international students should submit the following documents upon registration:

• valid passport or identity card
• 1 passport size photo
• proof of  health insurance (for more detailed information see Health insurance (Krankenversicherung))
• money for the semester ticket/student travel card (for current price see Semesterticket)
• letter of acceptance signed by the dean of the faculty in question (exchange students receive this letter of acceptance at the International Office)
