semester ticket
Upon registration at Witten/Herdecke University students receive a SmartCard with the imprint "VRR". With this student travel card you may use the entire regional public transport system (Verkehrsverbund Rhein Ruhr) around the clock, and in combination with the NRW ticket in all NRW, without additional costs: trams, buses, S-Bahn, underground and regional trains.

How to get the semester ticket
Upon conclusion of registration or re-registration you get an update of the VRR imprint on the SmartCard in the Registrar's Office.
You may print the NRW ticket at the terminal outside the HSW office on campus.
On the desktop of the HSW PC you will find a pdf file of your NRW ticket.
- Select appropriate pdf and send to printer/copier.
- Insert SmartCard into card reader.
- On the copier/printer to the right of the display, press the second button from top to get to print jobs.
- Select your ticket from print jobs and press "freigeben".
Please note
- Do not laminate NRW ticket.
- Do not fold NRW ticket in the dotted area since this would prevent scanning.
