German language tests
It is not possible to sit German language tests at the University Witten/Herdecke that would qualify for access to higher education, like e.g. the DSH test (German language test for foreign applicants qualifying for higher education) or TestDaF (Test German as a foreign language).
Applicants for a regular degree course at the UWH must provide proof of sufficient language proficiency with their application. Please contact the faculty you have chosen for your studies for certificates that are recognized as proof of language proficiency.
You wish to apply for a scholarship or exchange programme and require proof of your proficiency in English? Please contact the International Office. We shall help you to find a language instructor.

Preparatory courses for the TOEFL Test:
Auslandsgesellschaft Nordrhein-Westfalen offers preparatory courses for TOEFL. Each course comprises 18 units of 45 minutes each (6 days with 3 units respectively).

TOEIC Test of English for International Communication
The TOEIC© (Test of English for International Communication) is a certificate of professional proficiency in English recognized worldwide.
