UWH German language courses
Witten/Herdecke University invites all international students registered at Witten/Herdecke University to attend free German language courses that take place during semesters (two hours per week and semester): There are no preparatory intensive courses.
Levels of proficiency
Level and contents of German language courses at UWH change with each semester and adapt to participants’ levels of knowledge. Since international students at UWH must have a basic knowledge of German, German language courses start with „intermediate I“ (level B1, European References for Languages).
Course contents
German language courses at UWH aim to improve oral communication and comprehension of written and spoken German. The intermediate course covers everyday situations and acquisition of grammar and vocabulary, while the advanced course addresses competences required for academic studies. Discussions of current topics serve to improve oral expression and reading competences.
Registration
Registration via e-mail to International Office, Dr. Sigrun Caspary :
After registration, participants will receive a confirmation via e-mail plus a short assessment test. After evaluation of test results, participants are informed to which course they have been assigned.
