Studies abroad at partner universities worldwide

Apart from ERASMUS partner universities, UW/H has a number of other international subject-specific partnerships for the purpose of exchange and research. See the website of the International Office for a list of partner universities.

General requirements:

• CV (in English or the language of the host country)
• list of courses completed
• list of certificates acquired
• proof of language proficiency
• motivation letter (in English or the language of the host country)
• 2 passport size photos (for countries in Middle and East Europe)
• application form of the host university

Individual applications at a foreign university without exchange programme require intensive planning. 

You should inquire well in advance about:  

• Admission requirements  
• Tuition fees
• Application dates & deadlines
• Application documents
• Accommodation
• Entry and residence formalities

Remember that in case of individual applications you will have to pay tuition fees in addition to cost of living and all other costs. Find out about possible scholarships and grants well in advance.

Many institutions giving grants offer financial support only for direct applications with a foreign university. One problem for applicants: the host university often requires proof of a financial plan (a scholarship in most cases) prior to accepting an applicant – and the grant-giving institution requires proof of an accepted application prior to accepting an application for a scholarship.   

We suggest:
Submit your applications for a place and for a scholarship at the same time.
