A full range of services is available: information on current calls from national and international organizations promoting research, individual counseling on project proposals, support in the formal application for funding and negotiation of contracts.

Our objectives:
- accentuation of high research performance at Witten/Herdecke University
- internal and external presentation of research activities
- strong networks with partners from health care and business, science and politics
- professional support for scientists in applications for appropriate research programmes and high-quality third-party funded projects
- increase in third-party funding for UW/H
- closer cooperation among partners and institutions involved

Klarita Nestler
Head, Department of Research Funding
Klarita Nestler came to Witten/Herdecke University from the international office of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Bonn. In a number of previous positions (COST/Brussels, KOWI, Association for the Promotion of Science and Humanities in Germany, GTZ, BMZ and ZENIT GmbH) she acquired a solid basis of experience and know-how in research funding both on the national and EU level.
