Guest students

You would like to attend specific seminars/classes at the University Witten/Herdecke but do not wish to register for a full degree course? No problem!

Selected teaching events at the UWH are open to guest students, without obligation to acquire certificates.

Faculty of Humanities and Arts

Studium fundamentale is the liberal arts and humanities core curriculum at the UWH. Here you may discover and further your artistic talents in writing courses, singing lessons or theatre projects. Seminars on conflict and crisis management are highly popular and provide significant insights for your professional and private relationships. Interested? Guest students may test a seminar at the start of each semester (to be arranged with the lecturer in question). If you wish to attend regularly, this is what you do:

1. Download and print the form for guest students.
2. Complete the form for guest students and have it signed by the lecturer of the seminar in question.
3. Submit the form at the Stufu office (campus, room E 126) in the course of the semester. You may pay the fees there.
4. You may also pay course fees to this account:

5. You may collect your guest student certificate at the Stufu office (campus, room E 126).

Semester fees per lecture/seminar series: 200,- €
Senior citizens (65 plus): 100,- €
Students enrolled at other universities: 30,- €
UW/H alumni: no fee

Faculty of Health

Student training in small groups has priority at the Faculty of Health. Therefore, no classes are open to guest students currently. Any changes will be announced here.

Faculty of Management and Economics

The Faculty of Economics and Management offers interested individuals the chance to attend selected lectures/seminars (to be arranged with the lecturer in question). Registration is easy:

1. You find a lecture/seminar among the faculty’s teaching events which you wish to attend.
2. Contact the lecturer in question and find out if guest students are permitted.
3. If guest students are permitted, fees per semester of  200,- € per lecture/class/seminar are due. Senior citizens (66 plus) pay 100,- €. UW/H alumni: no fee. Please pay in cash at the Information office (phone: +49 (0)2302-926-0)
