Re-registration

Re-registration period/deadline for the summer semester:

January 15 – February 15

Re-registration period/deadline for the winter semester:

June 1 – June 30

Default costs:

In case of re-registration after the deadline, UWH charges default costs as follows:

summer semester, from February 16 up to and including February 28(29) / winter semester, from July 1 up to and including July 15: Euro 100.-

summer semester from March 1 / winter semester from July 16: Euro 200.-

payable to the UWH account with Sparkasse Witten (bank code 452 500 35); Please contact the Registrar’s Office for the account number and send us either the stamped cash payment receipt, a printout of the online payment with the debiting date, or a copy of the pertinent bank statement.

Documents required for re-registration

  • statistics form for students duly completed (to be completed via Intranet!)
  • completed form for re-registration, deferment and exmatriculation (to be completed via Intranet!) – with details on how you finance your studies, on study periods abroad, or any commercial activities. Please make sure to add your student registration number.
  • proof of health insurance (only in case of changes)
  • the stamped cash payment receipt, a printout of the online payment with the debiting date, or a copy of the pertinent bank statement (unless you have given direct debit authorization) for the following fees: 
    • student welfare contribution Euro 52.50
      semester ticket Euro 145.00
  • payment receipt for tuition fees
  • proof that all financial or other obligations towards UWH, Hochschulwerk, StudierendenGesellschaft or the university’s occupational physician have been met
  • SmartCard
  • students exceeding twice the number of semesters of the standard period of study for their programme pay an additional charge stipilated in Regulations on Fees.

Please note:

  • Students are obliged to inquire about possible changes in deadlines or required documents prior to each re-registration, either via Internet (www.uni-wh.de), notice boards on campus, phone (+49-2302-926-403) or email (studierendensekretariatwe dont want spam@no spamuni-wh.de).
  • Important: check your emails in your uw/h email account on a regular basis for information, changes in deadlines etc.
  • Students are recommended to re-register early, in order to avoid waiting times around the re-registration deadline.
  • Re-registration is possible in person, in writing or by a representative with written authorization.
  • If you opt for re-registration in writing, please send us a prepaid self-addressed envelope.
  • Re-registration in due time requires that the Registrar’s Office has received your complete re-registration documents and that you have met all obligations listed above. For re-registration via post, the date of receipt in the Registrar’s Office applies, not the postmark.
