Patrick Rebacz: "My interests are both medicine and economics, and I am passionate about drawing and sketching." So it seemed only natural to combine these fields for a business idea. This is what the student of medicine and economics did in the GründerWerkstatt. His company Visionom specializes in graphic design and illustrations for books, brochures, websites, posters and other media and in visualizing complex medical and economic issues in easily understandable illustrations.

"I have done illustrations for seven years. At the university I reached a more professional level and established a brand of my own. It is not necessary to do everything alone; why not rely on the competences of others?" The core business of his firm is the development and design of graphs, illustrations, drawings, animations plus texts and captions. In medicine, drawings mainly are anatomical illustrations or pictures of surgery techniques, diagrams, processes, procedures and instruments. The focus in economics is on organizational structures, process flows, communicative patterns or shareholder values. "At the root of this business idea is our basic need to grasp complex matters quickly and comprehensively. The plan is to reduce complexities, to illustrate them in a comprehensible way, and to create a common basis of understanding for viewers."
