UW/H Team 2012

I want to learn how the United Nations work, and I am looking forward to exchange with students from all over the world.

I want to be part of this large-scale student event and engage in something of increasing importance to us all: the world community. Moreover I am looking forward to meeting lots of fascinating international students.

Model United Nations is a great project; it illustrates the inner workings of international politics - and of course we shall see the city and meet interesting people. 

This project is a unique opportunity for insights into political contexts, for discussion and ultimately cooperation with students from all over the world. 

I see Model United Nations as a chance to learn more about the United Nations and international politics, and to get involved in a huge project together with thousands of fellow students. 

I want a live experience of how the United Nations operate. 

The Model United Nations: a tremendous challenge, and certainly one of the most exciting experiences of my life. 

The project MUN has caught my imagination from my first semester. Now in my third year at UW/H, I am very happy to go New York with the team, to discover this fascinating city, meet students from everywhere, and learn more about international politics. 

MUN simulates the United Nations with delegates of member states. The project stimulates interest in social and political commitment and motivates participants to get involved in international politics. Personally I shall enjoy the opportunity to meet people and make new friends.

I believe Model United Nations will be an overwhelming experience with lots of interesting characters, full of challenges and great moments. I am excited and proud to be part of the UW/H delegation.

Is there a more difficult discourse than one involving the whole world? To see for myself how such important decisions which affect the entire world are taken in a joint effort of hundreds of experts and representatives of different interests, and to benefit from this experience - this is my motivation to participate in the Model United Nations. 

I see the Model United Nations as a gain and a challenge for young people: the wealth of perspectives and viewpoints represented by participants will be an unforgettable experience. I am looking forward to this chance to be actively involved in this political institution. 

I am full of anticipation and pride to be part of the Model United Nations in 2012. This is going to be an important experience for me.

An immediate experience of international politics and diplomacy is useful and necessary to comprehend theories and models. I expect after the MUN it will be easier for me to evaluate the influence of political stakeholders and power structures. 

Modern European history being one of my key interests, I have studied international politics and the origins and causes of wars. As a consequence I am fascinated with current international politics, above all against the background of prevention of wars. Another thing: I cannot wait to enter the United Nations building in New York wearing my German lederhose!  

In the past I pursued many different interests, but politics and international politics in particular were not among them. Now I see the Model United Nations as a wonderful chance to explore important issues and address questions in an international context, with the intention to promote change.

I am very happy about the chance to attend the Model United Nations in 2012! I have developed an interest in international politics and international organizations and am therefore looking forward to the opportunity to get insights into the workings of the United Nations. 

I hope for a position with a transnational or international organization after graduation; so my participation in Model United Nations 2012 will  certainly be useful for my occupational orientation.

The United Nations epitomize international understanding - a most precious and worthwhile objective. I have always been fascinated by this organization. The Model United Nations are an excellent opportunity and a priviledge to learn more about the institution and to participate in a joint effort with many young people from all over the world.
