Dr. Becky Stiles, Head of Sustainability at BASF Personal Care, will talk about challenges inherent in sustainability and sustainable organizing along the value chain of a global business.

Personal care products are highly instructive as to how companies strive for sustainability in the ingredients and processes they use. Becky Stiles will shed light on the strategies developed for sustainability at BASF, the collaborative aspects of it, and on some of the current sustainability projects she is developing with her team.

Becky Stiles holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina and did postdoctoral research at Northwestern University. Prior to joining BASF, she worked for Nalco, Ecolab, and Avon Cosmetics. Her career has spanned industries and functions with focus on new product development, innovation, analytics, and sustainability. She is currently based in Monheim and Head of Sustainability for the BASF Personal Care business in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
