Consultants Nathalie Thurm and Ivana Aurich share first-hand experience in developing organizations and their partners towards sustainable fashion products.
The production of clothing is very complex process, since many different production stages are necessary, involving many different partners and suppliers. Nathalie Thurm and Ivana Aurich support actors through the value chain of textiles production and show where barriers are as well as where opportunities arise, especially, when it comes to making products more sustainable. Doing so, Nathalie and Ivana use their own expertise and use self-developed products as guidance to support actors on their sustainability journey. Thereby, they also stress the importance of strong partnerships and exchange at eye level as well as a strong will to change when it comes to shaping change in the fashion industry.
Together with their partner Thomas Hill, Ivana and Nathalie are the founders of a consulting agency for organizational development and sustainable transformation in the fashion industry. They advise companies, with approaches from systems thinking, in developing visions of the future and in stimulating motivation for the design of sustainable collections. Nathalie and Ivana have both worked in various positions in the fashion industry for many years. Ivana studied Textile Management at LTD Nagold and, as Interim Manager Head of Product Management at Hess Natur, accompanies the development of the collection. Nathalie studied textile management at the Academy of Fashion and Design and, in addition to her consulting work, she is working as a research assistant for the ZNU at Witten/Herdecke University.
This guest lecture is part of the master module „Inter-organizational Alliances and Networks“ taught by Raphaela Fritz and Prof. Dr. Guido Möllering.
