Wiebke Uhlenbrock, M. Sc. Psychologie

Ms Uhlenbrock, M. Sc., is an academic staff member at the Professorship of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy under Prof. Gabriele Lutz.[MN1] The activities of this professorship include research, teaching and the outpatient and inpatient care of psychosomatic patients at Herdecke Community Hospital.

The focus of the professorship is on research into meaning and psychotherapy in the context of questions of meaning with the guiding research question of how the experience of meaning can be promoted in patients and citizens.

Ms Uhlenbrock, M. Sc., supports the following research projects in this area, which are primarily investigated using qualitative methods:

• Dealing with issues of meaning in the psychosocial care of the dying from the perspective of hospice staff and hospital chaplains
• Dealing with questions of meaning in outpatient psychotherapy from the perspective of
• Psychological psychotherapists (with and without further training in existential psychotherapy or existential topics)
• Psychotherapists in training

Dealing with questions of meaning in chronically somatically ill patients from the perspective of inpatient and practising physicians
