How parents can take part in the study
Have you just become a parent or are you about to?
The birth of a child brings with it many new tasks and responsibilities for you as parents - including the decision as to whether and how your child should be immunised. The first immunisation is recommended as soon as your baby is six weeks old.
We are interested in what you think about immunisation advice.
Have you read up on immunisations? If so, how?
How did you decide?
What information did you receive?
How would you have preferred to be informed?
What information would you have liked to have (more)?
The results can help to improve the range of vaccination counselling services and give parents confidence in their decision-making in the future.

Influence of vaccinations on health
The INITIAL study is also intended to contribute to the investigation of the effect of vaccinations. We are therefore analysing the influence of the timing of vaccinations on children's health. With your help, we would like to improve the data on immunisation and health.
We are investigating which children have asthma, hay fever, neurodermatitis or food allergies at the age of five (time of the U9). We also record other illnesses. You will receive questionnaires by your child's fifth birthday, which you can fill in from the comfort of your own home.
