The Institute for Health Systems Research (IGFo) analyses functional determinants of health systems and their components, with a focus on factors which influence the quality of medical care.

The Institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary Centre for Health Services Research (IZVF), in close cooperation with the clinical chairs at UW/H, the Institute for Nursing Science, and the Faculty of Economics and Management.

The IGFo aims to play a leading role in health systems and services research in national and international contexts. The idea is to provide UW/H students with a solid basis of system-related knowledge, as well as competences and commitment in health services research.
