Tuition fees and welfare contribution
Tuition fees
Below you find a list of fixed rates/monthly rates payable for individual degree programs at UW/H. Thanks to the inverse contract between student generations (UGV) you may also opt for payment of tuition fees after graduation. Besides tuition fees, the university charges a welfare contribution from all students, which goes to the Hochschulwerk, and a charge for the semester ticket (student travel card). These charges are due each semester and payable by students of all disciplines.
UW/H students are in charge of management and organization of the payment scheme. The StudierendenGesellschaft (SG) was founded for this purpose.
Welfare contribution
The welfare contribution of € 52,50 for each semester goes to the Hochschulwerk Witten/Herdecke eV. social committee and is used for loans and grants to individual students in need, and also to promote student initiatives and sports.
Semester ticket (student travel card)
The semester ticket costs € 139,56 per semester.
