Dentists from 11 nationalities visiting UW/H

Dentists from 11 nations came to Witten/Herdecke University for a residency as part of the cooperation with the International Medical College (IMC).

The IMC offers a master's degree for international dentists within Specialized Orthodontics. During the two-year program, students gain practical experience in Germany. The Department of Orthodontics of the Department of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Health directed by Prof. Dr. Gholamreza Danesh cooperates with the IMC and enables the students to gain an insight into the activities of orthodontics in Germany.

During their three-day stay, the participants experience orthodontic treatments and additionally take part in therapy and diagnosis conferences. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to participate in case report sessions.

In September and October last year, a total of 14 students from 11 nations, including Poland, USA, Oman and Kenya, visited Witten/Herdecke University for the first time. Two visits in March and visits in September and November are planned for this year.
