How can the ecological and socially just transformation of our society succeed in times of climate crisis?
The cross-faculty research centre [tra:ce] at the UW/H deals with this question. The [tra:ce] investigates the socio-ecological transformation of the economy, state and society and bundles existing research projects on the socio-ecological crisis at the UW/H. The centre focuses on questions of global justice, sustainability and health. The focus is on questions of global justice, sustainability and health.
Student collaboration at [tra:ce]
Students at the UW/H are already active in a variety of roles and areas at the [tra:ce]. These include working on the various research projects or as student employees at the research centre itself.
The [tra:ce] offers students from all disciplines the opportunity to gain initial insights and valuable experience in research and institute work in the field of socio-ecological transformation during their studies.
How you can get involved
As a transdisciplinary and interfaculty research centre, [tra:ce] offers you many different opportunities to get actively involved. Researchers from our Faculties of Health, Business and Society and the WittenLab work together at [tra:ce]. So no matter what you are studying, you are sure to find an exciting subject area that suits you, your interests and your specialisation!
Theses, independent study projects and placement semesters at [tra:ce]
Are you planning to write your final thesis in the field of sustainability or would you like to develop your own independent study project? The [tra:ce] offers students a wide range of opportunities to realise their own ideas and supports you in the implementation of your project ideas or thesis.
If you are interested in a placement semester, [tra:ce] is also a good place to start. We offer students many opportunities to work on our research projects and regularly share job offers from other research institutions, companies and social actors from our extended network.
