Postdoctoral university lecturing qualification at UW/H
We pave the way to a professorship
After completing a doctorate, the postdoctoral university lecturing qualification is another important step in an academic career. This highest academic qualification grants the right to teach and conduct research independently at universities (Facultas Docendi). As a rule, the postdoctoral university lecturing qualification is a central prerequisite for obtaining a permanent professorship at a university. As one of the few private universities, Witten/Herdecke University holds not only the right to award doctorates but also full habilitation rights, and offers expert support on the path to a university professorship.
