PÄD TO GO online training on 18 December 2025, 7:10 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Speakers:
Prof. Dr David Martin, Witten/Herdecke University
Dr Silke Schwarz, Witten/Herdecke University

The first AWMF guideline on "Prevention of dysregulated screen media use in childhood and adolescence" was published in 2023 as a joint recommendation by ten German professional associations from the fields of medicine and psychology and the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA). Witten/Herdecke University, under the leadership of Dr Silke Schwarz and Prof David Martin from the Chair of Medical Theory, Integrative and Anthroposophic Medicine, coordinated the development of the guidelines.

The guideline contains both general and age-specific recommendations on screen media use. There are also recommendations for educators, parents and siblings and procedures for dealing with excessive screen media use. The lecture addresses the health consequences of screen media consumption in children and adolescents as well as specific recommendations for age-appropriate use.

PÄD TO GO is a cross-professional training platform for all those who provide medical care to children of all ages. The speakers pass on their specialist knowledge in an understandable and practice-orientated way.

The training is assessed and recognised by the Medical Association with 1 CME point.

Important note: Registration for the event is urgently required! The lecture will be held exclusively live. A discussion with the speakers is possible afterwards. The lecture will not be recorded and will therefore not be available afterwards.
