What formative experiences do medical students have during their professional personal development?

Project overview

Doctoral project: "What attitudes and what knowledge do medical students in Germany have about abortion and its legal regulations?" - A nationwide cross-sectional survey

The number of abortions in Germany has been relatively stable for years, with minor fluctuations. However, the number of doctors performing abortions is steadily decreasing. Little research has been done into why this is the case.

There is hardly any data on the attitudes of medical students in Germany towards abortions in particular. In view of the social and professional relevance of the topic, a survey of the attitudes of medical students in Germany towards abortion is necessary.

The project aims to investigate the views and attitudes of medical students in Germany as well as current teaching at the respective universities.

As no suitable validated German-language survey instrument was available in the literature, a suitable questionnaire and a knowledge test were developed in several stages with experts and students.
