WIFU lecture series in December

WIFU lecture series "Between Rigour & Relevance"
Renowned researchers from Germany and abroad are regular guests at WIFU and provide insights into current research on family entrepreneurship.
On 3 December, participants can look forward to a lecture in English on "Japan's Family Business Tradition: Sanpo Yoshi", given by Akito Kondo (Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Management at Reitaku University). Before his academic career, he managed the family business Kondo Shokai, a waste disposal company. He later worked as an ISO 14001 auditor at an independent certification body, where he examined companies in the certification process. His work focuses on the management of family businesses, long-term thinking and sustainability, particularly in the Japanese SME sector.
About the WIFU lecture series
The WIFU lecture series under the motto "Family business research between scientific accuracy and entrepreneurial relevance" invites participants to gain an overview of the range of global research on family businesses and business families. The aim is to make it clear that the described dichotomy between accuracy and relevance does not necessarily have to be irresolvable.
The core element of the WIFU lecture series is the lectures given in German or English, to which external speakers are often invited. The lectures are organised about three times per semester as face-to-face or online events. In addition to researchers and students, all interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
