What is StudyCheck and how do the evaluations in the portal work?

The StudyCheck study portal offers students the opportunity to rate their degree programmes and report on their experiences at their university. With a total of more than 340,000 student reviews, StudyCheck is one of the largest university comparison portals in Germany. The reviews and experience reports help prospective students to find out about universities and degree programmes and provide authentic impressions of the studies and study conditions at the various universities. In the reviews, current students rate various aspects of their degree programme, such as course content, teaching staff or facilities. Up to 5 stars can be awarded. The sum of all ratings results in the overall rating of a university. Each evaluation includes a short report in which the students summarise their experiences of their (previous) studies, give a recommendation and state pros and cons of their studies.

The winner is the university that achieves the best overall rating based on all student evaluations and recommendations within a year.
