Our cooperation partners in teaching & research
Since its foundation, Witten/Herdecke University has made an important contribution to improving and developing healthcare. Teaching and research at the Faculty of Health has always taken place within a broad network of cooperating institutions from various medical disciplines.
This network of university hospitals, affiliated hospitals, cooperating practices and associated independent institutes enables students to study in a practical environment from day one. At the same time, the university provides (prospective) scientists with a large research environment with a wide range of subject areas.

University hospitals
The largest and most important partners in the School of Medicine's network of clinics are the Cologne-Merheim Hospital and the Helios University Hospital Wuppertal. Most of the UW/H's 40 or so clinical chairs and professorships are based at these two UW/H campuses.
