The Chair of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology is involved in teaching and research within the School of Medicine at the Faculty of Health.

The focus is on the use of state-of-the-art imaging techniques for the accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of a wide range of conditions affecting the whole body, including tumours, vascular diseases and heart problems.

In addition to precise diagnosis, the department aims to provide targeted treatments through innovative interventional techniques.

Research

Through close collaboration with other medical disciplines and ongoing research, the department aims to set new standards in radiological care and ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Teaching

At the department, students are taught the fundamentals of radiology. Among other things, they acquire the vital skill of deciding which diagnostic approach is appropriate for a particular medical condition.
