Evidence for health policy action

Interdisciplinary Centre for Health Services Research (IZVF)

Healthcare Research

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Health Services Research (IZVF) at UW/H promotes research aimed at improving the healthcare system and supports the application of scientific findings in practice.

Health services research plays a vital role in underpinning health policy with reliable data and ensuring user-centred healthcare.

Research: National and international networking

The inter-faculty IZVF aims to strengthen collaboration between researchers from the university’s various departments who work in the field of health services research. It provides a platform for discussion and collaboration, enabling researchers to jointly develop and publish research projects.

Further objectives include supporting early-career researchers, promoting the internationalisation of research, and facilitating the exchange of methodologies between faculties. In future, the centre plans to establish working groups on topics such as the transfer of methodologies and internationalisation, as well as to set up a methodology centre.

IVZF events

The IZVF regularly organises events on a range of thematic and methodological topics, as well as various initiatives to support early-career researchers.
