Interdisciplinary research topics

At UW/H, research is conducted not only within the Faculty of Health, the Faculty of Management, Economics and Society and the WittenLab. Zukunftslabor Studium fundamentale, but also at the interfaces between the individual departments. In order to analyse and address complex issues in their entirety, our researchers collaborate across departmental boundaries. Furthermore, we combine our expertise with that of experts from other universities and partner institutions to develop scientifically sound strategies and solutions. This results, amongst other things, in the following interdisciplinary projects.

AMARIS

Aeronautical and maritime innovation environment for interorganisational simulations

Care decisions in nursing homes

The study examined care decisions in inpatient nursing homes using the example of the use of medical devices for chronic wounds.

An app developed by the researchers supports children and their parents in coping with pain in everyday life.

The project is researching the development and piloting of a gender-sensitive care concept for patients with chronic non-tumour-related pain undergoing long-term opiate therapy.

The PAAM project at the Institute of General Practice and Primary Care (iamag) is trialling the use of Physician Assistants - PAs for short - in GP practices.
