Operational plan Germany - Preparation for crisis situations

On this evening, participants will have the opportunity to learn about various crisis scenarios, engage in dialogue with experts, and receive practical guidance on how to act during crises. Given current international developments, the resilience of both the Federal Republic and civil society is becoming increasingly important, emphasises Dr Katja Strauss-Köster, a member of the German Bundestag’s Committee on Internal Affairs and deputy rapporteur for civil protection and disaster relief for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. The "Pact for Civil Protection" (Pakt für Bevölkerungsschutz), unveiled in late May, further underscores the need to strengthen civil protection as a key pillar of the national security architecture. An informed and knowledgeable public is intended to help bolster the resilience of the Federal Republic.
