19th International Conference "Advances in Pneumology"

The 19th international conference AIP - Advances in Pneumology - will take place this year from 5 to 6 December 2025 in Germany at Witten/Herdecke University.

This AIP conference - Advances in Pneumology - was launched 20 years ago to exchange scientific knowledge on the subject of pneumology among experts at European level. It takes place in a different European country every year.

The long-standing scientific directors of the AIP are

• Prof. Dr Mieczysław Pokorski (Institute of Health Sciences at the University of Opole (Poland) and
• Prof Kurt Rasche (Director of the Clinic for Pneumology, Allergology, Sleep and Respiratory Medicine at Helios University Hospital Wuppertal (Germany) and associated with the Chair of Pneumology at Witten/Herdecke University).

The concept of the AIP thrives on young participants (doctoral students, assistant doctors, students...) who want to present their studies on an international stage and take the opportunity to publish their research results in an international journal. At the same time, the scientists are given space to share, exchange and discuss their experiences and research results in the field of pulmonology with others. All this takes place both in the respective lectures and in personal exchanges.

Every participation helps to ensure the continuation of this unique conference. This is possible with or without submitting an abstract.

For all other students who wish to attend both days of the conference at UW/H, there is a special offer for 25 €.
