This time, the AINS colloquium for doctors and nurses will focus on the topic: “Sustainability in intensive care medicine - disposable or reusable items?”. The speaker will be PD Christina Katharina Weisheit, Senior Physician at the Department of Anesthesiology and Operative Intensive Care Medicine at Bonn University Hospital.

Disposable items are common practice in everyday hospital life. This is mainly due to the high hygiene standards and limited recyclability. This lecture will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using disposable items as well as the opportunities and risks of reusable items in care.

Participation is free of charge and online registration is requested. With a few exceptions, the event is recognized by the North Rhine Medical Association (2 continuing education points).
