Prof Dr Mahmoud Diab is a specialist in cardiac surgery at Helios University Hospital Wuppertal and Chair of Cardiac Surgery at Witten/Herdecke University.
Following his medical training and doctoral studies, he worked at leading cardiac surgery centres in Germany. His clinical and scientific work focusses on complex heart valve diseases, infective endocarditis and the development of new surgical procedures.
He is a member of national and international scientific associations and is involved in the training and further education of young doctors in cardiac surgery.
