Despite Trump: What entrepreneurs need to know about the USA today
RMI debate with USA expert Dr Josef Braml

Donald Trump is back in office - and with him an American policy that is causing international uncertainty. What does his second term mean for Europe? For German companies? For the future of global cooperation?
Answers were provided at the RMI debate on 12 May 2025 in the evening at the UW/H with Dr Josef Braml, political scientist and one of the most renowned experts on transatlantic relations in Germany. The evening was moderated by Prof Dr Hendrik Wilhelm from the Reinhard Mohn Institute of Management (RMI). In the debate, Dr Josef Braml showed the 70 or so participants how Trump's return is shaking up the global world order - and what Europe can do now. He emphasised how important it is for Europe to be more united, as we can only remain capable of acting as a strong community.
Further thoughts on this can be found in the UW/H-LinkedIn post and in Braml's latest book ("World to Come: The Return of Trump and the End of the Old Order" ; with Mathew Burrows, 2025).
