Looking back: Chair of Health Informatics at the Research Day 2026

A highly interdisciplinary Research Day at the Faculty of Health Witten/Herdecke Universitywhich shows how diverse healthcare needs to be researched.

This year, the LS GIF presented the following content for your eyes and ears:

• Poster: ePA.IMPULS (GBA Innofonds): Investigating the implementation, benefits, utilisation and quality of ePA for all from the perspective of service providers and insured persons (Dr Sophie Peter,Pascal Alexander Raszke, Timo Neunaber)
• Poster: Digital diagnostic head for cardiological clinical pictures (Sophia R., PD Dr.med. Leonard Fehring)
• Poster: AI-based anamnesis (Emre Tamerler PD Dr.med. Leonard Fehring)
• Poster: AI-based medical letter translator (Paul Rust, PD Dr.med. Leonard Fehring)

• Lecture: Selection of outcomes and measurement methods in studies on Digital Therapeutics (Johannes) and there was even a trophy for the best lecture.

The core results are:

• The highly heterogeneous DTx study quality is also reflected in the heterogeneous outcome choice.
• Same ICD/indication but diametrically different outcomes. Comparability of DTx studies is not adequately possible for either researchers or carers.
• Core outcome sets for DTx as a basic element for care and research.
