ParDiMi

Participatory development of a manual on diversity-sensitive palliative and hospice care using the example of a migrant background

Project overview

Diversity characteristics are associated with different needs and preferences in healthcare, which are reflected, among other things, in information-seeking behaviour and care preferences. However, in practical healthcare settings, these needs are often inadequately addressed.

Approaches designed to address these challenges are often limited and focus predominantly on individual diversity characteristics or specific challenges, which is why they are insufficient as a basis for adequate, user-orientated care.

The ParDiMi project aims to develop a manual to support palliative and hospice care facilities in planning and implementing diversity-sensitive care, using migration backgrounds as an example. The project follows a participatory approach, with a strong emphasis on user orientation and practical applicability. The manual will be evaluated by staff and representatives from palliative and hospice care facilities.
