Research Data Day in North Rhine-Westphalia

‘Research Data Day in NRW’ is an annual, state-wide event organised by the state initiative fdm.nrw to raise awareness amongst researchers and students about the professional and sustainable management of digital data. Participants learn how to store and share their research data in a legally compliant manner in accordance with the FAIR principles – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.
The hybrid event offers a combination of a central morning programme organised by fdm.nrw and decentralised workshops at the universities.
Since May 2024, Witten/Herdecke University has been an official cooperation partner of the state initiative and a permanent member of its associated communications network. UW/H actively uses the annual action day, which takes place in November, to link the state-wide initiatives with its own infrastructure.
Participation is free of charge. Further information on the fdm.nrw state initiative and registration options is available online.
The event will be held in German and English.
