The RMI team congratulates Guido Möllering on his 10th anniversary at the RMI

Guido Möllering, who obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2003 and completed his habilitation at the Free University of Berlin in 2011, took over as head of the Reinhard Mohn Institute for Business Management (RMI), which was founded in 2010 at the University of Witten/Herdecke. He is Director of the Institute and holds the Reinhard Mohn Foundation Chair in Corporate Management.

Under his leadership, the RMI is establishing itself as a centre of excellence for partnership-based corporate governance through the management of collaboration. In this way, the institute generates evidence-based impact and counteracts the frequent failure of collaborations in practice.

One format of our practical dialogue is the annual “RMI Corporate Governance Day”. The theme in 2019 was “Responsibility: Who is ready?”. At the time, Guido Möllering posed the question: “Who has the competence, but also the motivation, to take on responsibility? Who is trusted to take on responsibility, and how far does that responsibility extend?” We are delighted that Guido Möllering was – and remains – willing to take on the responsibility of leading the RMI. This responsibility is in very good hands with him – an assessment wholeheartedly shared by the UW/H, the Bertelsmann Foundation as a sponsor of the RMI, and his team.
