The RMI team is delighted with Nicole Steller, who successfully defended her PhD thesis on "Corporate Purpose - Concept, Complications and Consequences" on 29 September 25 with Summa cum Laude!

The PhD thesis examines how companies can strategically implement their corporate purpose and sheds light on the associated management challenges and possible unintended consequences. It makes a theoretical contribution by developing an empirically grounded model of strategic purpose implementation and adopting a critical perspective on the organisational function of purpose beyond fashionable management rhetoric. Finally, she introduces the mechanism of "moral renunciation", through which the credibility of purpose can be established.

Dear Nicole, we wish you all the best for your next professional steps at ESCP Business School in Madrid!
