Witten/Herdecke University introduces Sciebo for collaborative work on research data
The new platform facilitates collaboration in projects and research data management.
Witten/Herdecke University is expanding its research data management offering: with Sciebo ("Science Box"), scientists now have access to an internal, non-commercial cloud storage facility for collaborative work.
Sciebo makes it possible to securely store, synchronise and share research data - both within teams and with external project partners. The platform thus promotes shared data organisation, clear access rules and transparent work processes. Documents can also be edited in parallel and large files can be exchanged. Sciebo fulfils high data protection and security requirements and is General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant.
The service is already being used at more than 20 universities in North Rhine-Westphalia and is now also being used by researchers at UW/H.
