Claudia Robles-Angel
Artist in Residence from November 2024 to June 2025
The second artist in residence is Claudia Robles-Angel, whose works create synergies between science and art. From November 2024 to June 2025, she will primarily be researching collaborations in the Faculty of Health.
She always works at and with interfaces: auditory and visual, digital and analogue, performative and research-related. The artist composes, stages and experiments with light, electronic impulses and virtual colour systems, creating installative settings and participative environments that are both highly artificial and extremely organic at the same time.
For example, biometric data, such as heartbeats or brain waves, take centre stage in one of her work complexes. Physical measurements are used in her artistic work to control technical systems that simultaneously monitor this data. The artist then translates this into image and sound.
Claudia Robles-Angel thus explores the relationship between physicality and its quantification through measured values and thus questions the interactions between biological and technological networks.
