Photographic art on three floors: New exhibition in the dental clinic at Witten/Herdecke University
The Witten photo club ObjektivArt96 shows an impressive variety of images.

The Dental Clinic at Witten/Herdecke University (UW/H) is becoming a photo gallery: the ObjektivArt96 photo club is now exhibiting a selection of 60 works in the building at Alfred-Herrhausen-Straße 45. For the next six months, patients and art lovers can discover the diverse collection on three floors of the dental clinic and experience it from different perspectives.
On the ground floor, visitors will encounter special landscape and nature photographs. One floor up, everything revolves around abstract photography. The third floor shows industrial motifs from the Ruhr region and other street photography.
"The dental clinic at Witten University offers a great opportunity to present our works to a large audience - and on three floors, grouped thematically," says Beate Scheffler, deputy chairwoman of the art association. Prof Dr Stefan Zimmer, Head of Dentistry at the dental clinic, explains: "In addition to around 25,000 patients with around 80,000 visits each year, our 150 employees and 250 dental students also enjoy the exhibition. Thanks to their targeted thematic composition, the pictures create a calming atmosphere where desired, while still leaving room for imaginative interpretations, in keeping with the spirit of our university."
With more than 120 members, the Wittener Verein is the largest photography club in the Ruhr region and is based in Rüsbergstraße in Herbede.
