Summer Academy “The power of encounter - perspectives for a humane healthcare system”
The 16th Summer Academy at Witten/Herdecke University
In a mindful and appreciative environment, interested parties are once again invited to the 16th Summer Academy at Witten/Herdecke University this year to ask questions and find new impulses together:
- How do I want to meet others?
- How do I want to meet myself?
- What empowers me?
- What hinders me?
- What do I need?
- How can I help shape things?
All interested people from the healing professions and all those who are on their way there are invited, as well as all those interested in integrative medical perspectives. The aim is to develop answers to this question together and experience the transformative power of encounters.
The programme of this year's Summer Academy consists of many different offerings. In the morning, participants will start the day with meditation and yoga at 07:15. This is always followed by breakfast together and a plenary lecture, where external speakers will also be guests. The programme then continues with various workshops, which are offered as in-depth and taster workshops. On Tuesday, 12 August, there will be a World of Possibilities in the afternoon, followed by a creative programme. The evenings of the Summer Academy are varied with events such as tango, circle dancing or the colourful evening.
The individual days also focus on different topics.
- Saturday: Encounter with the self, with myself, my needs
- Sunday: Encounter with our basic values, spirituality, religions
- Monday: Encounter with the you
- Tuesday: Encounter with the system
- Wednesday: Encounter with the healing method/therapy
- Thursday: Encounter with nature/the environment
- Friday: Encounter with the future/AI
