Sound-Parcours by Claudia Robles-Angel

The current artist-in-residence Claudia Robles-Angel and students from Witten/Herdecke University will guide visitors through the sound environment of the campus. The sound trail "Sur le terrain - A Sound Cartography of Witten/Herdecke" invites you to listen carefully and explore noises and sounds. During the one-hour walks, participants will get to know various stations.
The tour will only take place on the following three dates:
Saturday, 5 July 2025, at 2:30 pm, 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
Participation is free of charge. The meeting point is the entrance to the Great Hall at the university's main building. Places are limited. Please register in advance: Bettina.Voigt@uni-wh.de
The Sound Parcours was developed as part of a seminar by Claudia Robles-Angel with UW/H students and is inspired by the practices of "deep listening" and "sonic awareness". With the project, the artist pursues the idea that visitors will perceive sounds and noises with greater precision and dedication as they wander through the course than they usually do in their daily routine.
Supported by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation.
Organised by the Chair of Digital Arts and Cultural Mediation of Prof.in Dr. Renate Buschmann, WittenLab. Zukunftslabor Studium fundamentale, Witten/Herdecke University.
This will be followed at 19:00 by the Great Summer Concert of Choir and Orchestra in the Great Hall of Witten/Herdecke University.
