Crisis-talk today inevitably revolves around the coronavirus, but what do we know already about 'crisis' and its implications for politics and society? How does it affect the way we understand ourselves? Does crisis disrupt established collective identifications? Does it provoke the emergence of new ones?
A groundbreaking book addressing these questions will be published early next year by Emerald Press. Comprising of ten chapters written by scholars from across the continent and from different disciplinary fields, the book considers different aspects of crisis and identification in Europe and includes exciting contributions on populism, protest, emotion, immigration and more.
To celebrate the completion of the manuscript, editors Amanda Machin (Witten/Herdecke University) and Nadine Meidert (Zeppelin University) will co-ordinate a 'webinar' with the chapter authors. All are welcome.
