Your Studies in the Bachelor of Choice programme

• You choose your Bachelor of Choice programme: B. A. Global Sustainability: Climate, Justice, Transformation, B. Sc. Management, B. Sc. Management & Psychologie, B. A. Philosophie, Politik und Ökonomik, B. Sc. Social Data Science, or B. A. Wirtschaft, Politik und Recht. All programmes have a unique focus - and yet they are connected. Within the first two semesters, the orientation year, you can switch between the degree programmes at any time. Please note that the programmes B. Sc. Management, B. A. Philosophie, Politik und Ökonomik and B. A. Wirtschaft, Politik und Recht require German language skills.
• Whether it be a photography course, programming basics or an inclusion seminar - in the Studium fundamentale, you complete about 10% of your course credits with seminars and events that address your personal interests and contribute to your development - on a professional and personal level.
• At the end of the orientation year, you make a final decision: either you stay in your degree programme or you change to the degree programme that suits you better. This is where you make your decision. No matter how you decide: You keep the credits you have already earned without losing any time!
• You decide how you want to structure your degree programme and, from the second year onwards, choose the subject specialisation that suits you best.
• You have the opportunity to take Nano-Degrees and thus expand your academic profile with cross-curricular qualifications and certificates in the fields of "Data Science" (English), "Psychologie und Systemisches Coaching" (German), "Global Cooperation/Justice" (English), "Sustainability" (English), "Management und Nachhaltigkeit" (German), "Familienunternehmertum" (German) and "Recht und Rechtsanwendung" (German). Or you decide to fully concentrate on your own discipline.

It is possible to change your subject within the Bachelor of Choice without a lot of effort and bureaucracy. The best thing to do is to talk to the respective programme coordinators or get advice from the Academic Deanery. Then inform us in written form about your wish to change and your degree programme will be officially switched by the beginning of the next semester. And that's it! Your achievements will be automatically recognised and your semesters will be updated according to your credit points.
